Client Access

Two ways to give a client access to their brand: a portal link (no login) and a client login on your agency domain (client seat). Learn how to invite a client, what they can see, seat limits, and how to revoke access. Agency Plus only.

Portal link or client login

Every client brand on Agency Plus has a Client access area with two options that work side by side:

Portal link

Client login (client seat)

How they get in

Open a link, no account

Sign in with email and password on your agency domain

What they see

The brand's active shares and pending reviews

The brand inside the dashboard, read-only

Requires

Agency Plus

Agency Plus, verified agency domain, white-label app enabled

Limit

One link per brand

100 client seats per account

Revoke

Revoke the link

Remove the seat

Use the portal link for most clients. Use a client login when a client wants to explore reports, competitors, and tasks themselves.

Where to Manage It

  • Brand Settings > Client access: one brand at a time. Contains the client contact, the portal link, and the brand's client seats

  • White label > Clients: every brand you can manage in one table with the seat usage for the account. Expand a brand to get the same portal link and client seat controls

Both need an Agency Plus subscription. Brand owners and editors can invite or remove; viewers only see the list.

Client Contact

Fill in the client's name, email, and company under Brand Settings > Client access. The email is used for automated report delivery and is offered as the default when you invite a client seat.

Portal Link

  • Enable creates the link; Copy copies it

  • The link is valid for 365 days; Refresh issues a new link and a new expiry (the old link stops working)

  • Revoke deletes the link

Details in Client Portal.

Inviting a Client

  1. Make sure the agency domain is verified and the white-label app is enabled

  2. Open Brand Settings > Client access for the client's brand, or expand the brand under White label > Clients

  3. Under Client seats, click Invite client and enter the client's email (the client contact email is prefilled)

  4. The client receives a branded invite from your sending domain with a link to your agency domain

  5. They set a password (or sign in if they already have an account) and land on their brand

A client seat is always:

  • Viewer role (read-only)

  • Scoped to exactly one brand

  • Bound to your agency domain. Client seats cannot sign in on app.rankprompt.com and cannot switch to any other account

A client of two different agencies gets a separate seat on each agency's domain and only ever sees that agency's brand.

What a Client Can See

Signed in on your domain, a client gets a reduced workspace:

  • Home, Reporting (AI Visibility, Competitors, Reports, Sentiment Audit), Tasks, and Notifications

  • Their brand only, shown as a fixed label instead of a brand switcher

  • Your logo, colors, app name, and Help link

They never see: other brands, the AI agent, tools, brand settings, team members, integrations, credits, billing, prospects, the agency dashboard, or upgrade prompts. Actions that would cost credits are hidden.

Article reviews keep working through the emailed review link.

Seat Limits

  • Agency Plus includes 100 client seats per account

  • Client seats are separate from team seats (25 on Agency Plus) and do not count against them

  • Pending and accepted invites both count. Remove a seat to free it

  • Invites are refused when the cap is reached; the page shows current usage

Revoking Access

  • Remove a client seat from Client access. The client is signed out on their next request and can no longer sign in

  • Revoke the portal link to stop link-based access

  • Deleting the brand removes both

If your account drops below Agency Plus, client seats are suspended and the agency domain is taken down; they come back when you upgrade again.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can a client have access to more than one brand?

No. A client seat is limited to one brand. Invite them separately for each brand.

Can a client approve articles inside the app?

Client seats are strictly read-only in the dashboard. Approvals and change requests happen through the review link the client receives by email, which also appears in the portal.

Can I turn a client seat into a team member?

No. Remove the client seat and invite the person as a team member from Account > Team instead. Team seats give account-level access and count against the team seat cap.

Do clients need the portal link if they have a login?

No, but both can coexist. Clients with a seat sign in at your domain's sign-in page; the portal link stays valid for anyone who has it.

Why is the Invite client button disabled?

Client logins require a verified agency domain with the white-label app enabled. Check White label > Domains.
