Client portal

One link per client brand, no sign-in, under your agency's branding: the latest report you published, every report you shared, the articles waiting on the client's approval and what your team is working on. From the Agency plan; on your own domain with Agency Plus.

The client portal gives each client brand one page that collects what you share with that client. It carries your logo, colors and company name, and Rank Prompt stays out of sight. Use it when a client needs a place to come back to, instead of a folder of one-off links.

Turning it on

  1. Set up your branding under White label > Branding (logo, colors, company name, links and footer)

  2. Open Brand settings > Client access for the brand, or on Agency Plus White label > Clients, which lists every brand

  3. Click Enable portal

  4. Click Copy portal link and send it to your client. The link opens without an account or a sign-in

Only brand owners and editors can manage the portal link. Enabling or refreshing it needs an active subscription, not a trial.

What your client sees

  • A brand card with your branding

  • Latest report: the newest client report you published and shared without a password, with its cover and headline figure, Open the report and Download PDF

  • Waiting for you: articles waiting for the client's review, each with a link to its review page

  • Next: the brand's open tasks, soonest due date first (up to 20 are listed, with a count of the rest)

  • Done lately: tasks closed in the last 30 days

  • Reports: every active share of the brand's reports, Scheduled Reports, brand summaries and published client reports (brand audits included), created by anyone on your team

A task shows its title, status and due date, never its internal notes. The client never sees other brands, your agency tools, credits, billing, or anything you have not shared. An expired or revoked share leaves the portal on its own.

Note: The portal lists shares. If a report is missing, create a share for it (from the report or from Shares) and it appears the next time the portal loads.

Managing the link

In Brand settings > Client access, or on the brand's row in White label > Clients:

  • Copy portal link copies the link, and Open portal opens it the way your client sees it

  • The link is valid for 365 days. Refresh link renews it for another 365 days and keeps the same address, so the link your client already has keeps working. Once a link has expired, refreshing it gives a new address

  • Revoke portal disables the link for good. Anyone who opens it sees that the link is invalid

There is no setting for what the portal shows: it shows the brand's active shares, open reviews and tasks. You control it by creating, extending and revoking shares.

Your own domain

By default the portal link lives on app.rankprompt.com. On Agency Plus it can be served from a subdomain you own, such as clients.youragency.com:

  1. Go to White label > Domains

  2. Enter your subdomain and add the three DNS records shown

  3. Click Verify DNS. Once the SSL certificate is active, portal links, share links and review links use your domain

See Agency domain for the records, the nightly check and troubleshooting.

Client logins

If the white label app runs on your domain, a client you invite with a client seat (Agency Plus) signs in there and sees their brand inside the app, read only. The portal link keeps working for everyone else. See Client access.

FAQ

Do clients need a Rank Prompt account?

No. The portal link opens without a sign-in. If a client should sign in instead, invite them with a client seat on Agency Plus.

Can clients change anything in the portal?

No. The portal is read only. Clients can open shares and act on article reviews (approve or request changes) through the review links, but cannot run reports or change settings.

Why is a report not in the portal?

The portal lists only the brand's active shares. Create a share for the report, or extend it if it expired.

Is the client portal on the Agency plan?

Yes, from Agency up. Serving it from your own domain and client logins are Agency Plus features.

What happens if I downgrade?

Below Agency, portal links stop opening; they come back if you upgrade again. From Agency Plus to Agency, portal links keep working, but the agency domain is taken down and client seats are suspended until you upgrade again.
