Offsite mentions

See which pages on other sites AI answers cite, whether they name your brand or your competitors, and which ones to pitch first.

Offsite mentions (Sources > Offsite mentions) lists the pages on other sites that AI platforms cite in the answers to your prompts: reviews, listicles, news, forums, competitors' pages and more. For every page you have analyzed, it shows whether the page names your brand, in what tone, and which of your competitors it names.

Offsite mentions is part of Starter and up (the brand owner's plan).

Why some pages say "Not analyzed"

Knowing whether a page names your brand takes reading the page. Rank Prompt never guesses it from the URL or the title. Until a page is analyzed it shows Not analyzed, and it never counts as a page that doesn't name you.

To analyze pages (owners and editors):

  1. In Pages analyzed, click Analyze the most cited (the button says how many: the most cited pages not read yet, up to 30), or select rows in the table and click Analyze

  2. Review the pages and the credit cost in the confirmation

  3. Confirm

One read of each page returns its contacts, whether it links to your site, and every business it names. The result also shows in Outreach > Backlink outreach, so you don't pay for the same page twice.

Credit cost: 1 credit per 3 pages. Your own pages and pages already analyzed are free.

Tips

  • Start with Competitors, not you: these pages already recommend your space and leave you out

  • Sort by Citations: the pages AI cites most move the most answers

  • Hover You on a page that names you in a negative tone to see why, then ask the site to set it right

  • Find the page in Outreach > Backlink outreach to reach its author and pitch it
