In Rank Prompt, a Brand represents a business, product, or client you want to track across AI platforms. Everything in Rank Prompt is organized around brands.
Think of a brand as a container that holds:
Reports — All visibility reports for that business
Scheduled Reports — Automated tracking configurations
Analytics — Performance data and trends
Settings — Name, website, aliases, categories
Team — Collaborators (on Agency plan)
If you manage multiple businesses or clients, brands keep everything separate:
My Brands
── Acme Corp → 15 reports, 3 schedules
── Widget Inc → 8 reports, 2 schedules
── My Startup → 22 reports, 5 schedules
Each brand has its own:
Name — Used to detect mentions in AI responses
Aliases — Alternative names AI might use
Website — For citation tracking
Without these, we couldn't accurately identify when AI mentions YOUR brand.
On Agency plans, you can invite collaborators to specific brands:
Share access with clients
Let team members focus on their accounts
Control who sees what
In the navigation header, you'll see a dropdown with your current brand:
Click it to:
Switch between your brands
See all available brands
Create a new brand
When you switch brands, the entire dashboard updates to show data for that brand.
Tip: The brand switcher appears on most pages. You can switch context anytime without losing your place.
The official name of the business. This is what we look for in AI responses.
Example: "Acme Corporation"
The brand's primary website. Used for:
Logo display
Citation tracking
Domain verification
Example: "https://acme.com"
Optional detailed information about the brand. This helps when:
Generating prompts for reports
Understanding context for AI queries
Alternative names AI platforms might use:
Official Name | Possible Aliases |
Acme Corporation | Acme, Acme Corp, ACME Inc |
International Business Machines | IBM, Big Blue |
The Coca-Cola Company | Coca-Cola, Coke |
Without aliases, you might miss mentions that use variations of your name.
Industry categories discovered during reports:
Example: Software, CRM, Sales Tools, B2B
Categories help:
Organize prompts
Filter analytics
Generate relevant prompts
Your primary market settings:
Used as defaults for new reports
Applied to content generation
Set for outreach emails
