Connect Google, and the Scheduled Reports page shows where your website's visitors come from next to the markets you already track. It also suggests new Scheduled Reports for the countries and regions where you have traffic but no tracking, so you pick markets from your own data instead of guessing.
Google connected for the brand, with a Search Console site: Search Console gives the countries your traffic comes from
Google Analytics (optional): adds the regions and cities your sessions come from
Traffic data: the suggestions read the latest data on Website analytics
Connect from the card on the Scheduled Reports page itself, or from Brand > Integrations. See Connecting Google Analytics and Connecting Search Console.
Go to Visibility > Scheduled Reports. What sits above your list depends on your connection:
Your setup | What you see |
|---|---|
Google not connected | A Suggested Scheduled Reports card with a button to connect Google Analytics |
Connected, but no Search Console | An Add Search Console card with a button to connect it |
Connected, but no traffic data yet | A No traffic data card. Refresh analytics opens Website analytics, where you refresh the data. |
Search Console data by country | The Visibility map |
Google Analytics regions, but no country data | A Suggested Scheduled Reports card with the regions to track |
Every market with traffic already tracked | A note that your Scheduled Reports cover your top traffic regions |
The map is a card that starts collapsed. Its header counts the regions you track and the ones suggested. Click it to open the map; on a large screen, Fullscreen gives it the whole window.
Marker | Meaning |
|---|---|
Active tracking | A location of a Scheduled Report that runs |
Paused | A location that is paused, or whose Scheduled Report is switched off |
Upcoming run | A location that runs in the next 7 days |
Suggested | A country or region with traffic that no location tracks yet |
Countries are also shaded by Traffic intensity (High, Medium, Low), from their Search Console impressions. Nearby markers group together.
Hover a marker to see its numbers: clicks and impressions from Search Console, sessions and users from Google Analytics, or, for a tracked location, its prompts and next run.
Click a marker to open the location details:
Tracked locations there, marked upcoming, active or paused. Click one to open its page.
Suggestions, with their clicks, sessions or users, and a Track button
Traffic coverage: the share of the countries and regions your traffic comes from that you already track, as a percentage and as a count of traffic sources tracked, with your Active and Paused locations, the Countries you track and the ones Suggested
Local achievements: badges for local work in Rank Prompt, locked until you earn them
Regional coverage: how many of your traffic countries you track, world region by world region
When the map isn't there (for example, Google Analytics shows regions but Search Console has no country data yet), the Suggested Scheduled Reports card lists the markets to track instead: each with its flag and its clicks and impressions, or its sessions. It shows 3 at first, and a button below opens the rest. A Based on traffic badge marks the card when Rank Prompt recommends tracking several regions from your traffic.
Countries: from Search Console, each with at least 1% of your impressions, up to 10
Regions: from Google Analytics, each with at least 2% of your sessions, up to 10
A market you already track is left out.
Click Track on a suggestion in the map, or click a suggestion in the card. Rank Prompt creates a new weekly Scheduled Report, named Suggested country weekly or Suggested location weekly, with one location for that market:
The market's country, and its city or region when the suggestion is one
The country's main language
ChatGPT, Claude and Google AI Mode (AI Overviews)
No prompts yet: the location starts paused and the Scheduled Report switched off
Then finish it:
Open the new Scheduled Report and rename it in its settings
Open its location and add prompts (or add a location that copies prompts from another one)
Resume the location and switch the Scheduled Report on
Tracking a suggestion costs nothing until the Scheduled Report runs. See Understanding locations for the ways to fill a location with prompts, including Pick from Search Console queries.
Don't track every country. Start with:
The markets that bring you the most traffic
The markets where you sell
The markets that are growing
Traffic changes. Check the map once a month:
New countries showing up in your traffic?
Regions growing faster than others?
Add locations as your audience grows
The best markets to track are where you have customers, engagement and revenue. Weigh the suggestions against your business data.
A country suggestion (for example Canada) may need more than one location: Canada in English and Canada in French. Check which languages your visitors use.
Situation: you're a United States business seeing traffic from the United Kingdom.
The map shows the United Kingdom as Suggested
Click it and click Track
Add prompts to the new location, using Pick from Search Console queries or copying another location
Resume the location and switch the Scheduled Report on
Situation: you didn't know you had traffic from Germany.
The map shows Germany as Suggested
Check whether you have German content
If yes, track it to see your visibility there
If no, consider localizing your content first
Situation: you track the United States as a whole, and Google Analytics shows strong regions.
The map suggests those regions
Add a location for each region that matters
Compare the national and local visibility on the Scheduled Report's Locations tab
Google isn't connected, or the connection has no Search Console site: use the card's button to connect
There is no country data yet: refresh the data on Website analytics and wait for Search Console to report impressions
Every market with traffic already has a location
Your traffic is too low for any market to stand out
The data hasn't synced yet after connecting
The map shows traffic, not intent: some countries may send bots or visitors you don't serve. Track only the markets that matter to your business.
