Connecting Google Analytics gives you visibility into how your published content performs. See visitor traffic, search clicks, and keyword data directly in RankPrompt.
After connecting:

Google Analytics 4 (GA4) property
Google Search Console verified for your domain
Google account with access to both services
From the sidebar, click Analytics to open the Analytics Dashboard.
If not connected, you'll see a prompt to connect Google services:
Click Connect Google
A Google sign-in window opens
In the Google sign-in window:
Select your Google account
Review the permissions requested
Click Allow to grant access
After authorization:
Select your Google Analytics 4 property
Select your Search Console property
Click Save to complete setup
RankPrompt requests these permissions:

We only request read access, RankPrompt cannot modify your Google settings or data.
Check your connection status in Analytics Dashboard:
Status | Meaning |
Connected | Successfully linked, data available |
Expired | Token expired, needs reconnection |
Not Connected | Setup not completed |
Go to Analytics Dashboard
Click Reconnect
Re-authorize your Google account
The main Analytics Dashboard shows:
Traffic Overview: Sessions, users, bounce rate
Search Performance: Clicks, impressions, average position
Top Pages: Best-performing pages by traffic
Search Queries: Keywords bringing visitors
Filtered view showing only your blog content:
Data from your hosted blog
Data from connected WordPress sites
Excludes your main website
If you have scheduled reports:
Visibility Map: Shows impressions by query
Search Console Data: Keywords triggering your pages
If you have a RankPrompt hosted blog, add GA4 tracking:
Go to Integrations
Find your Hosted Blog
Click Analytics button
Enter your GA4 Measurement ID (format: G-XXXXXXX)
Click Save
In Google Analytics:
Go to Admin (gear icon)
Under Property, click Data Streams
Select your web stream
Copy the Measurement ID (starts with "G-")
Causes:
New property with no data yet
Wrong property selected
GA4 not installed on your site
Solutions:
Wait 24-48 hours for new properties
Verify correct property is selected
Ensure GA4 tracking code is on your site
Cause:
Google OAuth token expired (happens after ~6 months)
Solution:
Click Reconnect and re-authorize
Causes:
Domain not verified in Search Console
Property mismatch between Analytics and Search Console
Solutions:
Verify your domain in Google Search Console
Ensure both services use the same domain
Cause:
Wrong Google property selected
Solution:
Disconnect and reconnect with correct property
Read-only analytics data
Read-only search console data
No access to modify or delete your data
We cache data locally for faster access
Data refreshes periodically
You can manually refresh anytime
To revoke RankPrompt's access:
Go to your Google Account
Find RankPrompt in third-party apps
Click Remove Access

Ideally, yes. Analytics shows visitor behavior; Search Console shows search performance. Together, they provide complete insights.
RankPrompt requires Google Analytics 4 (GA4). Universal Analytics was sunset by Google in 2024. Upgrade to GA4 to use this feature.
Currently, one Analytics property per brand. If you have multiple sites, consider a roll-up property or contact us at [email protected] for custom options.
