The Visibility Map is a powerful feature that combines your scheduled report tracking with Google Search Console data to show where you're tracking, where you're missing, and where you should focus next.
To use the Visibility Map, you need:
Google Analytics connected with Search Console
At least one scheduled report with location configs
Don't have analytics connected? Go to AI Dashboards → Website Analytics to connect your Google accounts.
Navigate to Reports → Scheduled Reports
The Visibility Map appears at the top of the page (if you have GSC connected)
The map shows:
Green markers — Countries/regions where you have active tracking
Yellow markers — Suggested regions based on your traffic
Marker size — Relative importance (traffic volume or prompts count)
Marker | Meaning |
Your Location Configs | Where you're currently tracking |
Suggested Countries | Where you have traffic but no tracking |
Suggested Regions | Specific cities with high traffic |
See a suggested country you want to track?
Click the yellow marker on the map
A tooltip shows traffic data for that region
Click "Create Config"
The Add Config modal opens pre-filled with that location
Instead of guessing which markets to track, the map shows you where your actual visitors are coming from. Track visibility where it matters most to your business.
Below (or alongside) the map, you'll see the Analytics Insights Card:
Insight | Description |
Top Countries | Countries with most Search Console impressions |
Top Regions | Specific cities/regions with significant traffic |
Missing Coverage | Highlighted if you have traffic but no tracking |
Each insight has quick actions:
"Track this market" — Creates a new location config
"View details" — Shows full traffic breakdown
When creating a new location config from insights:
Select a country
Click "Get suggestions for [Country]"
See queries from Search Console:
Query Type | Description |
| Queries with growing impressions (green arrow) |
| Queries with high impressions you could rank for |
Select queries to add them as prompts — they become your tracking keywords!

Prioritize by TrafficDon't track every country. Focus on:
Your top 5 traffic sources first
Markets with business potential
Regions showing growth trends
Review MonthlyTraffic patterns change. Check the map monthly:
New countries appearing in your traffic?
Regions growing faster than others?
Add tracking as your audience expands
Connect It to RevenueThe best markets to track are where you:
Have actual customers
See high engagement
Generate revenue
Traffic alone doesn't mean opportunity — combine with your business data.
Consider LanguageA country suggestion (e.g., Canada) might need multiple configs:
Canada - English
Canada - French
Check your actual traffic to see which languages matter.
Even without the visual map, the Analytics Insights Card provides:
List of suggested countries
List of suggested regions/cities
Quick-add buttons for each
This appears when:
You have GSC connected but not enough data for the map
You're viewing on a smaller screen
Situation: You're a US-based business seeing UK traffic.
Action:
Check the Visibility Map — see UK in suggestions
Click the UK marker
Create a location config for UK - English
Add relevant prompts from GSC suggestions
Situation: You didn't know you had German traffic.
Action:
Map shows Germany as suggested (yellow marker)
Investigate — do you have German content?
If yes, add tracking to see your visibility there
If no, consider localizing content for that market
Situation: You track US nationally but see city-level data.
Action:
Map might suggest specific cities (NYC, LA, Chicago)
Add city-level configs for deeper insights
Compare national vs local visibility
Optimize content for specific markets
Possible causes:
Google Analytics not connected → Connect in Website Analytics
Search Console not linked to GA → Link in Google Search Console
Not enough traffic data → Wait for more impressions
Possible causes:
All your traffic regions already have configs
Very low traffic overall
GSC data not yet synced (wait 24-48 hours after connecting)
The map shows traffic data, not business intent. You might see:
Bot traffic from random countries
Irrelevant traffic sources
Use your judgment — only track markets that matter to your business.
