Understanding the Home dashboard

What Home shows before and after your first report, the widgets and how to arrange them, the brand switcher, and how the sidebar is organized.

Home is the first page you see. It shows the brand you have selected: how visible it is in AI answers, what changed, and what to do next.

Open it with Home at the top of the sidebar, the Rank Prompt logo, or the keys G then H.

What Home shows, step by step

Home changes as your brand grows:

When

What you see

Before your first report

The setup conversation with the agent, which runs your first report (see the Quickstart guide)

In your first weeks

A panel above the widgets that follows your progress, until the brand has 8 completed reports

Every day after

Your greeting, the next step, and your widgets

The first weeks panel

After your first report, three cards help you get the number moving:

  • What changed since your first report: your newest check against the first one, on the same prompts, with the answers that now name you and those that no longer do

  • This week's three tips: three tasks, each tied to a prompt the next check measures. Mark one done, dismiss it, or click Do it with the agent

  • Your first week: a short checklist: connect GA4 or Search Console, add your competitors, and schedule a recurring report

The top of the page

A greeting with the brand you are on, then:

  • Chat with agent opens the agent with a first request ready to send: a quick read on your AI visibility and the top 3 things to do this week

  • A link to connect your coding tool over MCP

  • Next step: the one thing worth doing now

  • A 20 minute product tour video, which you can dismiss

Widgets

The widgets sit under Your widgets. A selector next to it sets how many of the latest reports they read: Last 3 reports, Last 5 reports, Last 10 reports or Last 20 reports.

A new dashboard starts with:

Widget

What it shows

Visibility score

How often AI answers name your brand, from your latest reports

Visibility by platform

Which AI platforms name you, and which skip you

Citation share

How much of what AI cites is your own site

Visibility trend

Whether AI names you more or less often, report after report

Tasks

Your highest-priority open tasks and AI suggestions

Competitor ranking

Where you stand against competitors in AI answers

Recent reports

Your latest visibility reports

Many more are in the Add widget list, grouped as Analytics, Reports, Content, SEO, Tools, Account and Outreach. For example: Visibility matrix, Category performance, Prompts that name you, Share of voice, Citation leaderboard, Upcoming scheduled, Run history, Recent articles, Technical audit, GSC clicks, AI traffic, Sites to pitch, Quick actions and Setup checklist.

Tip: A widget with no data yet tells you what fills it, for example No tasks yet with a Run a report button.

Customizing your dashboard

Owners and editors of a brand can change its layout:

  1. Click Edit layout

  2. Click Add widget, search or browse by category, select the ones you want and add them

  3. Drag widgets to reorder them, resize them from their corners, or remove them

  4. Some widgets have Widget settings (the prompts, pages or competitor they follow)

  5. Click Save layout

Reset goes back to the default layout, and Cancel drops your changes. Copy layout applies the same layout to your other brands; widget settings tied to one brand (selected prompts, SEO pages, competitors) are not copied, so set them again on each brand.

The agent

The agent is on every plan. Open it three ways:

  • Chat with agent on Home

  • The agent button in the bottom-right corner of any page, or the keys G then A

  • Agent in the sidebar, for the full screen view and your past conversations

It reads the page you are on, answers about your reports, and on paid plans also writes articles, runs audits and sets up schedules with you. It spends your AI budget, which is separate from credits: you convert credits into it on Plans > AI budget. From the Starter plan you can also add your own model API key on Agent settings. See What is the agent?.

The brand switcher

Every page shows one brand at a time. Use the brand switcher in the top bar to change it:

  • Search your brands, and pin the ones you use most

  • See your role on each brand: Owner, Editor or Viewer

  • All brands opens the list of every brand you can reach

  • Create brand adds a new one

  • Agency mode (Agency Plus) switches the whole app to your portfolio: see Agency mode overview

When you switch, every page reloads for the new brand.

Tip: Press Cmd K on a Mac or Ctrl K on Windows to search pages, actions and brands from anywhere.

The sidebar

The rail on the left groups every page. Click a group to open its pages.

The panel ends with Help & support, the switch between light and dark mode, and Sign out. The Credits meter at the foot of the side panel shows what you have left.

Agency mode and client seats

On Agency Plus, Agency mode swaps the rail for portfolio views across all your brands: Home, Agent, Visibility (Client reports, Shares), Tasks, Content (Content, Reviews, Calendar), Outreach (Prospecting, Client emails), White label and the gear.

A client seat sees a shorter rail: Home, these Visibility pages (Overview, Prompts, Trends, Fan-outs, Competitors, Reports, Brand Audit), Sources, Tasks, Notifications and, if the agency allows it, the agent.
