The Credit Usage page shows exactly how many credits you have, how you've used them, and where your credits come from. Stay on top of your balance to avoid running out during important tasks.
From the sidebar, click your profile icon → Credit Usage.

AI Budget is a separate balance that powers AI features: the AI Agent copilot, inline content editing in the article editor, and AI image generation. You top it up by converting report credits, so it draws from the credits you already have rather than a separate purchase.
AI Agent conversations (the copilot that helps manage brands, run reports, and answer questions about your visibility data)
Inline content editing in the article editor
AI image generation
Available in brand context and, on Agency Plus, in agency-wide context
Visibility reports, scheduled reports
Article generation
SEO audits
Outreach actions
These all use regular credits (monthly or top-up).
You add AI Budget by converting report credits, not by buying a separate pack. When your balance runs low, the app prompts you to convert credits to AI Budget. Conversion rates:
Report Credits | AI Budget |
20 credits | $5 |
50 credits | $15 |
120 credits | $40 |
Higher-volume conversions get a better rate. If you do not have enough credits to convert, the app points you to get more credits first.
AI Budget added this way is cycle-expiring: it is meant to be used in the current billing cycle and resets when your plan renews, the same as your monthly plan AI budget. If you bought permanent AI Budget top-ups in the past, that grandfathered balance still never expires, but new permanent top-ups are no longer sold.
Connect your own OpenAI API key in Agent Settings to use your own OpenAI account for agent conversations. When BYOK is active, agent usage does not consume platform AI Budget.
Switch to Credit log tab to see detailed history:

Analyze 1 prompt | 1 credit (standard bundle); +1 per premium platform per prompt |
Generate AI article | 10 credits |
Lighthouse SEO audit | 1 credit |
Competitor SEO audit | 1 credit |
Technical SEO check | Free |
Standard platforms (ChatGPT, Perplexity, AI Mode, Claude): any mix costs 1 credit per prompt total.
Premium platforms (ChatGPT 5, Claude Search, Gemini, Grok): each one adds +1 credit per prompt.
Scheduled reports use the same rules: credits per run = prompts x credits per prompt, where credits per prompt = 1 if you selected any standard platform, plus 1 for each premium platform selected (if you select only premium engines with no standard, you pay one credit per premium platform per prompt — no "free" standard bundle).
See Understanding Credits for examples.

No. Monthly credits reset each billing cycle. Unused credits are lost.
No. Top-up credits never expire and remain available indefinitely.
Monthly credits are always used before top-up credits.
Yes. The Credit Log shows every credit-consuming action with dates and amounts.
If you see "Insufficient Credits," you've run out. Top up or wait for monthly reset.
No. AI Budget is a separate balance that powers AI features (the agent copilot, inline content editing, and AI image generation), while regular credits cover reports, articles, audits, and outreach. They are separate pools, but you fund AI Budget by converting report credits, and that converted budget is cycle-expiring. Alternatively, connect your own OpenAI key (BYOK) in Agent Settings to use your own account for agent conversations.
Check your credit balance weekly to avoid surprises, especially if you have scheduled reports running.
If you have a big project coming (multiple reports, content campaign), ensure you have enough credits.
Take advantage of features that don't use credits:
