Agent skills

Named jobs the agent runs for you start to finish: where to find them, what each tab holds, what they need and what they cost.

A skill is a job the agent knows well. It reads the right data, does the work and ends on one next step, so you do not have to write the request yourself.

Where to find them

  • The Skills page (/skills): open it with the sparkles button in the agent's side panel

  • A new conversation with the agent, which lists them by tab before you type

Click a skill to run it. It starts a new conversation in the agent dock, and you can keep asking from there.

The tabs

The Skills page lists every skill under All and in one tab per kind of work. Search skills finds one by name.

What each tile tells you

  • Plan: a skill whose work needs a paid plan shows the plan it needs (for example Starter plan) and, below it, opens the plans instead of running

  • Requires: what it needs connected first: Google Analytics or Search Console, a connected CMS, Google Business Profile, or a GitHub repository. If something is missing when it runs, the agent shows a Connect card right in the chat

  • Credits: the most credits it can spend (Up to 10 credits, for example), or No credits when it only reads

Reading your data spends your AI budget, like any message to the agent. Anything that costs credits, deletes something or writes outside Rank Prompt still shows an Action required card, or a plan card for a job of several steps, and runs only when you confirm. See Using the agent.

In your own AI tool

The Rank Prompt MCP server lists the same skills to Claude Code, Cursor, ChatGPT and other MCP clients, so you can run them from the AI tool you already use. There they spend your credits and your API request allowance, not your AI budget. See Connect Claude Code.
